On Christmas Eve in a tiny Newfoundland outport, a little boy named Peter anxiously awaits the arrival of Santa Claus. But a winter storm arrives that night and Peter isn't sure if Santa will find his way. Late in the night, Peter is awakened by noises outside his house. Much to his surprise, he discovers that Santa and the reindeer have crashed to the ground near his shed. Fortunately, only the sleigh's runner has been damaged. Now it is up to our young hero to help fix the broken parts. Santa is counting on Peter and his clever ideas - on the most important night of the year.
