Amanda Dorothy Jean Bulman is a chef, writer, librarian, citizen scientist, and stand-up comic. She works closely with Little Green Thumbs and Agriculture in the Classroom and is the founder of Yes, Chef, a non-profit that brings sustainability, foraging, farming, and food into elementary school classrooms. Amanda hosts a segment on CBC’s Here and Now entitled “Food and Fun” and hosted two children’s television shows on Bell Fibe in 2021. She lives in beautiful Newfoundland with her basset hound. Amanda’s cookbook and foraging guide, Salt Beef Buckets: A Love Story, was released in 2021.

Ruth Lawrence is a nationally recognized director, writer, and actor in film and theatre. In 2020, her debut narrative film, Little Orphans, won the Borsos Competition for Best Canadian Feature at the Whistler Film Festival. In 2019, she directed the documentary Circus by Komatik. Her writing for theatre includes the children’s folktale adaptation of Kate Crackerberry. She is the artistic director of White Rooster Theatre. Her plays and poetry have been published in anthologies by Breakwater Books, Signature Editions, the Waterford Institute, and Playwrights Canada Press.

Leon Chung is an illustrator and graphic novelist with an artistic background in animation and traditional drawing and painting. His artworks are created by utilizing a variety of hand-drawn mediums including graphite, ink, copic markers, watercolour paint, and digital paint. His published works include two children’s books, illustrations for a local cookbook, Riddle Fence magazine, and editorial illustrative pieces that are regularly featured in the Newfoundland Quarterly. Leon’s work has been the recipient of multiple grants and are recognized provincially as well as nationally, including with the Canadian Historic Heritage Association and Canada Council for the Arts, and are displayed at some of the province’s most beloved national landmarks, including the Cabot Tower of Signal Hill, Cape Spear Historic Site, and various Heritage Shoppe storefronts of Newfoundland.
